Facilities

The Easton Racquet Club is situated on a 10-acre parcel of land in Easton, which is surrounded by protected watershed acreage owned by the local water company. This affords us privacy amid peaceful surroundings.

The club currently has six Hydro Har-Tru tennis courts with state-of-the-art court lighting for night play during the season and two lighted platfrom tennis courts for year-round play.

Our pool is the center of warm weather off-court activitiy and is staffed daily by certified lifeguards. Chidren's swim lessons, kids swim team and adult water aerobics are a few of the programs that are available. Lounges, chairs and umbrella tables, as well as an awning-shaded area are provided as well.

The main clubhouse contains a pro-shop, locker rooms, and a party facility compelete with bar, dance floor, kitchen and wide screen entertainment and music center. A signfiicant renovation of the main clubhouse is scheduled to be completed by the end of May 2018. Near the outdoor pool area we have a basketball court children's playground, hitting wall, and pool clbuhouse with full changing and shower facilities. On weekends during the summer, the club staff offers grilled food, but members are always welcome to bring their own picnic meals or snacks.

For a daily fee, ERC members are welcome to bring guests to use our facilites. Certain special events are also open to guests. Members may also rent the clubhouse for their exclusive use during the off-season.

Staffing and Organizational Structure

ERC has a resident USPTA-certified tennis pro, an assistant tennis pro, and an APTA-certified platform tennis pro. A full spectrum of individual and group lessons, as well as clinics, is aavailable at rates set by the club. The resident tennis pro also serves as the director of the Kids Tennis Camp, which runs through the summer months.

The day-to-day operations of the club are manaaged by a professinal club manager and his staff. However, committees staffed by club members take a very active role in determining the club's operations and priorities. Our committees have exciting plans for changes and additions to our programs and physical facilites for the fuutre. All new members are encouraged to serve on the committee of their choice.

The club's board of directors is elected by the members. The board then elects the club's officers. The officers and board members meet year-round to govern and conduct the business of the club. These meetings are open to the general membership and the board may be addressed by prior request.
