Easton Racquet Club Mission Statement

The Easton Racquet Club is a unique retreat in beautiful surroundings where members can play tennis, pickle, and paddle, relax, swim, and socialize in a friendly and inclusive environment. The club is seen as a great value and is much more affordable than other tennis and racquet clubs in the area. The ERC is a place where everybody knows your name. It is more than a club; it is a community.

Facilities

The club is situated on a 10-acre parcel of land in Easton, which is surrounded by protected watershed acreage owned by the local water company. This affords us privacy amid peaceful surroundings.

The club currently has six Hydro Har-Tru tennis courts with state-of-the-art court lighting for night play during the season,  four lighted platform tennis courts for year-round play, and four pickleball courts completed in July 2022

Our pool is the center of warm-weather, off-court activity and is staffed daily by certified lifeguards. Children's swim lessons and kids swim team are available. Lounges, chairs and umbrella tables, and an awning-shaded area are provided as well. Our recently renovated pool hut has two bathrooms/changing rooms, a TV and lounge area, a soda machine, and a refrigerator/freezer for member use, along with two outdoor showers.

The main clubhouse contains a pro shop, locker rooms, and a party facility complete with a bar, dance floor, kitchen, fireplace, ping pong table, and wide-screen television. A renovation of the main clubhouse was completed in 2018. On weekends during the summer, the club staff offers grilled food, but members are always welcome to bring their own picnic meals or snacks.

For a daily fee, ERC members are welcome to bring guests to use our facilities. Certain special events are also open to guests. Members may also rent the clubhouse for their exclusive use during the off-season.

Staffing and Organizational Structure

ERC's tennis, paddle, and pickle programs are run by the Director of Racquets, Marcela Rodezno, and assistant pros as needed. A full spectrum of individual and group lessons and clinics is available at rates set by the club.

The day-to-day operations of the club are managed by a professional club manager and his staff. However, committees staffed by club members take an active role in determining the club's operations and priorities. All new members are encouraged to serve on the committee of their choice.

The club's board of directors is elected by the members. The board then elects the club's officers. The officers and board members meet year-round to govern and conduct the business of the club. These meetings are open to the general membership and the board may be addressed by request.
